Mission
Transcription and gene regulation is essential to many life-sustaining processes, and as a result, many diseases are characterized by errors in splicing and RNA processing. At the Chanfreau Lab, we use genome-wide approaches to research the mechanisms and issues controlling these processes.
Research
Our research uses baker’s yeast as a model organism to study RNA splicing, transcription, degradation, and other mechanisms influencing RNA expression, allowing us to have a more complete understanding of how RNA operates at a molecular level.
